concert & exam style

There's my ethereal and stylish beauty!
Yesterday, on the 28th of April, my little pianist had her entrance exam for first grade at the music school in the morning, and a concert in the evening! A whole year she worked hard, practicing an hour a day, every day and I with her and by her side, and twice weekly piano lessons, (well almost an hour, and not quite every day). And yesterday was the big event of the year, it was a tiring and long day, but now it is in the past, and the results are in, unanimous vote by all judging teachers on her brilliance, and perfect scores of six for piano and six for solfege! In Bulgaria the highest grade is six, with two being a fail. More than sixty children auditioned/participated and only a hand full got perfect sixes. Thus I am beaming with pride and joy. However she did happen to get a case of stage amnesia while in the actual room, completely forgetting everything, but after our teacher (who was also inside) showed her where the song began, the actual first few notes, my daughter blossomed and played everything in sublime tempo, and rhythm, and dynamics, and with such emotion, that all was right with the world again.

For her outfit, our teacher suggested a light girly theme as supposed to, the classic black and white, and so I put this outfit together with items we all ready had, and only purchasing the the flowering hair ribbon and the white princess slippers. I am delighted with the result.

There was a whole lot of waiting around involved, so these photos are from that. Luckily one of her best buddies was right after us for the exam, so they were together the whole time, playing "rock, paper, scissors" etc...
